There is lots on offer to suit all levels – beginners knitting, crochet, patchwork quilting, and with support from Brother you can do your Provisional Driving’ – learning to use a sewing machine, ‘The Mighty Stitch’ – machine embroidery or perhaps a ‘DIY Couture’ scater skirt! Fabrications offer many creative classes in their purpose built ‘Imaginerium’.

NEW FABRIC STOCK! Come and feel the beautiful new Ikat weaves and organic jersey prints from Offset Warehouse. We are also now stocking a lovely selection of high quality plain jersey, , sweatshirting, denims and Liberty cotton print suitable for use in our classes and your own projects! We have found a great supplier up North who buys up end of production rolls from the fashion industry, so not only is it not going to waste but we are getting high end fabrics at reduced prices!
SILVER LININGS PROJECT Every other Wednesday from 1st February – 27th September, 1- 3pm (FREE)
I have been invited to facilitate a ‘Crafting for a Cause’ over 50’s group in conjunction with Groundwork London, Hackney Council & Connect Hackney. During the sessions you will learn new skills (last week we did needle felting ), meet fellow Hackney residents and design and make items that will benefit others. This is an evolving volunteering project with the group deciding on the direction of the project and it’s beneficiaries. Calling all budding upcyclists! The sewing directory has launched a competition in conjunction with Jenni Taylor (of Sewing Bee fame) Love Sewing Magazine, Korbond & Search Press. Lots of lovely sewing prizes availabl;e in exchange for your creativity! FABRICATIONS CRAFT CLUB:
This takes place every fortnight on a Thursday evening, 6 – 9pm.
Next One: 18th May and sew on!
The club is a friendly, supportive and creative evening.
Bring along your own projects (whether it be knitting, crochet, sewing, patchwork etc).
It’s an ideal follow on to our classes for continuity or extra guidance.
Come with friends or make new friends.
£5 includes tea & biscuits, use of facilities. JUST TURN UP! *
* If you’d like to use a sewing machine please BOOK IN
as machine places are limited. Basic sewing skills required.
