Camilla Visits The Geffrye Museum

30th May 2012

Today, just a few metres down the road from the Hidden Art offices; we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse (a rather long glimpse) of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as she was touring the gardens and exhibits of Geffrye Museum, where she met local school children, volunteers and staff.

The Duchess of Cornwall is given a tour of the herb gardens at The Geffrye Museum.

Her visit to Geffrye is part of her touring visit of the Chelsea Fringe Show where she is making visits to areas of both Shoreditch and Dalston. Her tour included Spitalfields City Farm, the Oranges and Lemons Garden at St. Leonards Church, The Geffrye Museum and finally the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden where she met community volunteers.

Camilla talks to the children in the gardens of Geffrye.

Of course we sneaked into the herb gardens to see Camilla and later stood in with the small crowd that appeared to take plenty of pictures of our lucky catch before she left!

Camilla plants some herbs.

Camilla will also be joining The Prince of Wales, President of The Victoria Cross and George Cross Association, at the their Reunion Service at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London.
