The Ardelanish Weavers work from a farm on the remote and beautiful South Coast of the Isle of Mull in Scotland. From the Hebridean sheep brought into the farm they weave and dye yarn to make rugs, scarves, jackets in tweeds and their own patterns. They use the original 50s Dobcross looms which were from Bob and Kathy Ryan who moved their weaving business to Mull in 2003. They retired in 2011 Ann and Andrew Smith took over. Bob continued to help voluntarily and train and pass on skills to young people. In recognition of that Bob was awarded an MBE in 2016. This is Ann Fanmore who runs the Hen House a cute and delicious road side cafe on the West Coast of the Isle of Mull in Scotland. Her mother had a van on the same spot and when she died recently Anne vowed to build a shed and keep up her mother’s tradition serving hot drinks, home baking and simple food. Anne sells local chutneys, jams and pretty home crafts she makes over the winter. #mull #scotland #crafts #homebaking

We love Julie Hutton’s Sea Flow Plate. They are a reflection of the place where Julie lives - a small estuary township in West Wales that has been well documented by the famous poet Dylan Thomas. Detray, flexible sofa tray by Debosc. The first Detray was made in 2014, after an unfortunate massive coffee spill caused irreversible damage to Debosc sofa. The poor thing never recovered and was sentenced to a life of cover-wearing, but the idea for the Detray came up and Debosc was born. @bydebosc #detray #sofa #tray #debosc

Swirl Tealight Holder by Headsprung. The design came about as Hemal wanted to design something that was graphic and that would be like a piece of art on a table’s surface that was modular so that the user could play with it and change its arrangement to create their own art. This is such a great mural of William Morris, by ATMA which is located at the end wall on Bedford Road and next to the William Morris Gallery. It is a stencil portrait of the English textile designer and one of the founders of the Arts and Craft Movement. Local people helped to choose between six different William Morris patterns to sit behind the portrait with the pattern getting the most votes being painted.
