The Potcalys New and Emerging Makers Competition & Visiting Artist Award 2013

Sponsored by Potclays Ltd & Wales Arts International

The Emerging Makers Competition is an opportunity for UK based potters and artists working with clay, who have graduated from college within the past five years, to present a Powerpoint slideshow about their work at the 2013 International Ceramics Festival.

Six makers will be selected to make presentations at the festival. The presentations will last 15 minutes each (including a Q&A session).

From the six selected, two makers (one based in wales) will be selected to take part in our visiting artist awards scheme. The Welsh based artist will take part in a residency at the Archie Bray Foundation, USA. The Uk based award winner will take part in a residency at the Waikato Society of Potters, New Zealand. Details of the Waikato Society of Potters residency will be available shortly.
