PITCHING FOR SUCCESS – PITCHING IT RIGHT?
Pitching, like it or not, is an integral part of our everyday life.
You may not realise how much of your day is spent pitching: other than the obvious pitching for business scenario, many of the conversations you have with suppliers, your existing customers and your team are about putting across your product or service in the best way you can. It is vital that you get your pitch right, however more often than not we worry about if we are hitting the right note with a pitch.
This seminar will give you the chance to hear from expert speakers on how to deliver the perfect pitch: they’ll share their top tips on pitching and their experiences of winning – and retaining – business through pitching successfully. As well as hearing from our speakers, you’ll get a chance to share your own experiences and network with entrepreneurs and their supporters.

Josie is a corporate communications specialist, focusing on devising tailored PR programs and creative Thought Leadership campaigns that enhance and protect her clients’ reputations. She has experience in corporate, consumer and financial communications, working across a range of sectors from retail, leisure, financial services and private equity.
Working closely with FTI’s research team, as well as external agencies, Josie devises creative media campaigns and thought leadership programmes that bring complex issues to life for broader business and consumer audiences in the UK and internationally. While at FTI, Josie gained experience on secondment with UKRD, the UK’s largest radio group in order to strengthen her knowledge of broadcast news.
Her recent client experience includes Tetley, British Land Retail, KPMG, AON, AECOM, The Garden Centre Group and Jaguar LandRover.
Shelley is a PR and communications consultant specialising in a variety of markets including IT, media, digital services, professional and financial services, and training and recruitment. An American with over 18 years’ experience running global PR programmes and in-country campaigns, she helps entrepreneurs and multi-national companies build brands and make their communications highly effective. She has extensive contacts across national, business, broadcast and trade media and social influencers and collaborates with marketing and technical agencies to deliver compelling content and strategies.
Formed on the principles of integrity, ingenuity and transparency, Shelley established Juice PR as an agency in 2009. The company provides communications strategy and programmes that deliver real business benefit.
