China UK

Updated: 28th May 2012

China UK Connections through Culture – are looking for non-profit UK cultural organisations embarking on projects with Chinese partners (and vice versa). They are offering a number of small development grants for non-profit UK cultural organisations. If you are currently developing an arts project resulting in exhibition, performance or a public event held in China, demonstrating UK arts and creativity then this grant is aimed at you.

This grant enables one member of staff from your organisation to visit counterparts in China for face-to-face project development and therefore the opportunity to see and evaluate the work of your Chinese partner organisation(s).

Unfortunately individual artists, funding bodies and for-profit companies are not eligible to apply for this development grant. Connections through Culture does not support academic links. For information about China-UK Higher Education Collaboration please click here.

If you are interested and have not yet registered, please click here. Registered members should complete your organisations’ entry pages at Arts Overview.

For details on how your application will be assessed and where to download the application form, please go to their main page here.

All completed application forms should be emailed along with a project budget to connections.grant@britishcouncil.org.cn

Application Deadline: Sunday 10 June 2012 for visits taking place between August 2012 and January 2013. Applicants will be notified on Monday 16 July 2012.
