Over the years Hidden Art and Dieneke Ferguson the CEO of Hidden Art have undertaken many collaborative projects which have involved designers from different countries, offering new and exciting opportunities for all.
Here are some of the initiatives:

St Petersburg, 2001 – 2003
Development of an Exchange Programme of the St Petersburg Cultural Festival

Over this period we organised the following:
2001
Maria Lebedeva, the director of the Festival undertook a study visit to the Hidden Art Open Studios in 2001, and participated in and addressed the Hidden Art Forum in June 2002.
2002
A UK designer, Kal Chottai from Damdesign exhibited at the Fidexpo as part of the Festival, in addition to an exhibition of selected schools posters as part of the Hidden Art Schools programme.
Dieneke Ferguson made a preparatory visit in Jan 2002 in St Petersburg. The designer Kal Chottai spoke as well as showcase his lighting at the Evolution of Interiors Festival, St Petersburg.
Posters of UK pupils were also exhibited at the Festival, Room of my Dreams. This was alongside work from Russian school children.
In Nov 2002 20 Russian designer makers and representatives of support organizations took part in the Hidden Art Fair and visited the Hidden Art Open Studios. This included an exhibition of schools posters from St Petersburg,
8 Russian designers exhibige at the Hidden Art Fair, Ecology Park, Mile End Park
We also organised a UK programme and visits, including to the Geffrye Museum. Visits to Crafts Council, GM, SCP, designers (Foundation 33 and Rock Galpin). They enjoyed a boat trip along Grand Union Canal, and made a visit to Broadway Market
As part of the Hidden Art Schools project, there was an exhibition of posters from Russian School children
Dieneke Ferguson and Kal Chottai also spoke at the Festival in 12-14 February 2003
Rumania, 2000
Several visits to the Crafts Foundation Rumania to assist them with developing a website for Rumanian Crafts makers. This was funded by BESO, now part of VSO.
Dieneke Ferguson and Michael Hannah subsequently also contributed to a seminar in the region for local crafts people.
2003
On 10-11 June 2003, one person from Rumanian Crafts Foundation and 2 crafts people to attend Hidden Art Forum, as well as participating in the Hidden Art Open Studios in December 2003
Nairobi, Kenya, June – December 2000
A Beso Project. Online support for Travel Mall Africa, a travel agency who was keen to enhance their website by by starting an online travel newsletter focusing on African travel.
We provided examples of online e-newsletters, our own experience, corresponded via email and met up in England 18 Nov 2000.
Azerbaijan, 2-12 Feb 2001
Funded by BESO
The Azerbaijan Enterpreneurs Federation were keen to assess the development potential of specific sectors of SMEs in the Guba Region, including agriculture as well as traditional industries such as carpet weaving and tourism development. The longer-term objectives were the active economic development in Guba by concentrating on key sectors.
problems were identified and recommendations made. This Included setting up a specific SME programme in the area, endorsing Women’s Enterprise Centre for which funding was sought and to be located in Kuba.
VIETNAM, 2002
Hidden Art welcomed a visit from a Vietnamese delegation, 11 July 2002.
Dieneke Ferguson also advisd on the Economic and Cultural development in Hai Duong Project which was managed by the London Metropolitan University (International Institute for Culture, Tourism and Development). The London Borough of Hackney was also a project partner.
CHINA, 2007
Funded by UKI and B&Q
Delegation with 8 designers to visit B&Q office in Hong Kong with a view to develop prototypes for new products.The designers were selected after a rigorous selection process. Designers were also introduced to local manufacturers.
