A selling fair featuring 55 potters
Part of the London Design Festival
136 Kingsland Road
Thursday 22 September 6-8.30pm (open evening)
Friday 23 – Sunday 25 September, 10am-5pm
The Geffrye Museum’s annual celebration of ceramics returns in September, bringing together the work of 55 potters from across the UK in a riot of colour, style, texture and technique.
Exhibitors will include a mix of leading names such as Karen Bunting, Jane Cox, Ben Davies, Ruth King and Emily Myers, and rising talents Myer Halliday, Corinna Kenyon-Wade, Beth Lewis Williams, Yuta Segawa, Jessica Thorn and Anna Whitehouse.
A wide array of objects for the home will be on sale, from classic home-ware and lighting to ornamental and striking one-off pieces. Delicate porcelain will be shown alongside earthy stoneware and cool white glazes will contrast with colourful painted vessels and pots. Prices range from £10 for smaller pieces to several hundred pounds for large-scale creations.
Throughout this relaxed and friendly event, visitors can meet the makers, browse, buy and take part in demonstrations by featured potters. Free ceramics-inspired creative workshops for children will take place during the weekend (see below for details).
A launch evening, open to all, will take place on Thursday 22 September from 6-8.30pm
