Designersblock are delighted to be returning to Milano this April for their 16th flagship event in the city. Applications are now open.

Designersblock is the most established, long running independent showcase for emerging and established designers in Milan featuring furniture, lighting, product, textiles, jewellery, architecture, service design, interactive design and new concepts. Now in it’s 16th year.

The most exciting new work, projects and concepts from the innovative designers who are shaping our future. The exhibition includes Group shows from Estonia, Japan, India Arts Thread together with independent design from The UK and overseas.

The Venue

Designersblock Milan 16 takes place at BASE on Via Tortona. The epicentre of the Milan Design Week. With well over 100 thousand visitors it is the busiest area of the Design Week and the original city zone.

BASE is Milan’s new hybrid centre for culture and creativity. BASE is in a 3.5 hectare complex which includes MUDEC the new Museum of Cultures housed in a magnificent building designed by David Chipperfield Architects.

During the Design Week BASE will also host a major exhibitions from the prestigious Triennale di Milano ‘XXI Design after Design.’ and Connecting the Dots from the Netherlands.

We welcome applications from independent designers, companies, institutions, colleges and design collectives from all disciplines of design.
