Therma Insulated Ceramic Cup by Jody Leach

Kickstarter Project

Ending Sunday 29 November 2015

Jody Leach is looking for backers to produce his Therma Insulated Ceramic Cup. By Tuesday 24 November he had almost reached his target of £2000 so the project will most certainly come to fruition.

Therma is an insulated cup for the discerning coffee or tea drinker who prefers to drink from a ceramic cup.

The idea for Therma came about because of his need for a quality insulated cup.

“I have lost count of how many times I have got myself a nice hot drink, only to be distracted and then suffer the emotional trauma of it being lukewarm upon my return. Also if you have a nice drink why drink it from a crappy plastic cup?  “

From a quick glance the cup looks like a take away coffee cup, but upon closer inspection you will discover it is made from bone china.

The Thema cup has a unique octagonal internal design that can keep an 8oz/230ml drink warm for up to an hour, yet remain cool to the touch and comfortable to hold. It is larger than most cups and its design is clean and timeless. Each Therma cup comes with its own silicone lid. Therma is also dishwasher safe

It is made in the United Kingdom, by a small family run business in Stoke on Trent.

Jody has put a lot of time, energy, and resources developing this design from concept through to manufacture. The tooling has been made and the factory is ready to produce, this project is live now! The Kickstarter target of £2000 is the minimum he needed to pay for the first production batch of ceramics, lids, packaging, and Kickstarter fees.

The price of the cup is £20 but if you back the project with £35 before the end of the deadline on 29 November you will be able to secure two cups instead of £40 and have them delivered to you in December. If you pledge £60 then you will secure 4 cups (instead of £80) and for £110 you will get 8 cups (normal price £160).
