Fabrications opened in the summer of 2000, Bringing an empty shop back to life. Since then they have been weaving the threads of creativity, community and sustainability. Crafting positivity today to make the future better.
We have known Barley Massey and Fabrications since 1998 when she participated in the first Open Studios. she opened her shop and in 2000 she participated in the pre-Christmas Hidden Art Open Studios. On this detail from the Hidden Art Open Studios map you can see their location – number 10.
Since 2000 Barley has participated at all the Hidden Art Open Studios.
And in 2009 Barley was also given the Hidden Art Open Studios Award
In 2009 Barley Massey was included in Hidden Art’s 10th Anniversary Exhibition at Oxo Tower.
After the expansion of the shop to include a new flexible space, Barley started running a whole range of programmes as well.
