Laura Elliott

Laura is a multi disciplined designer who is passionate about creating hand-made jewellery and accessories. Hidden Art feature a beautiful selection of her work using genuine gemstones and high quality wire. She believes using genuine gemstones gives her the opportunity to create unique one off designs, because of the distinctive ‘finger print’ of Mother Nature. For instance amethysts stand for peace, protection and stability. Pearls bring love and promote faith, truth and loyalty.

She told us that in her previous job as a nurse she was seen as something of a Guardian Angel.  As a designer she was inspired to make a Guardian Angel pendant with healing properties as a special Christmas gift for her friend who has breast cancer.

She inspired Hidden Art to donate 5% of sales to the Penny Brohn Cancer Care.

Her Guardian Angels are unique in design and can be used as Christmas tree decorations, part of a window display or ever as pendants.

The story of the Curvalinea range of tables began in a workshop in Southern England by Judy Clark. Standing out for their vibrant colours and eye-catching curves, the first Curvalinea side tables came into being by selecting the best out of a collection of shapes hand-drawn on a sheet of board. In Judy’s own words: ‘I drew the shapes out by hand onto a sheet of board, we cut them out and selected the ones I liked best. The curvy shapes happened because I wanted to design a distinctive low table with modern style and an irreverent, characterful quality. I did lots of drawings, and we cut templates until I was happy with the shapes as a group of individuals that work together. We finalised four shapes for the tops and developed a unique tapered shape for the legs. The Bean, Comma, Petal and Palette then went into production in six vibrant colours’.
