Harley Boden is a ceramicist who used artisan processes with all his designs. His drawings are applied by hand onto fine English bone china using traditional screen printing techniques.
The ceramics are created at one of the few remaining traditional potteries in the United Kingdom, meaning that the products are truly original.
His fans include the fashion designer Sir Paul Smith who stocked Harley’s work at his Mayfair shop earlier this year.
Harley’s first handcrafted collection is entitled “Carr”. It consists of a small set of porcelain cups and saucers inspired by the flora and fauna he discovered whilst foraging in the English Woodland.
His limited edition collection displays his enchanting, hand-drawn, inky illustrations of nature’s undergrowth and the wildlife that inhabits it, with titles such as “Fen”, “Bracken”, “Fungi” and “Stag”. The collection depicts woodland scenes, some highlighted with metallic detailing.
